About the Role

Home Support Matters is looking for a passionate and driven Training and Development Coach to join our team. This is a key role focused on delivering high-quality training and coaching to ensure our care and support workforce is confident, competent, and compliant with industry standards.

You will play a vital role in developing staff across the organisation, supporting new starters through induction and probation, and ensuring all employees meet Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and company objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging induction training for new care and support workers
  • Provide mandatory refresher training in line with compliance requirements
  • Coach and support staff in the field, helping translate theory into practice
  • Complete competency assessments, observations, and sign-offs
  • Support staff experiencing performance or capability challenges
  • Develop individual learning plans for staff needing additional support
  • Maintain accurate training records and digital documentation
  • Contribute to the development and review of training programmes
  • Work closely with the Quality Team to address performance and quality concerns
  • Support preparation for CQC inspections and external audits

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for training, coaching, and developing others
  • Is a confident presenter with excellent communication skills
  • Can inspire and support individuals to achieve their full potential
  • Is highly organised with strong IT skills
  • Demonstrates professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive role model approach

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in the Health & Social Care sector
  • Proven experience in training delivery and group facilitation
  • Strong written and verbal English skills
  • Level 3 PTLLS (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Desirable

  • Experience in a regulated environment (e.g. CQC)
  • Experience as a Care Coach or mentor
  • Moving & Handling training qualification
